An extra tax break for you! Get an extra tax break by making a donation to Chesapeake Children's Museum. CCM has been approved for the Neighborhood Partnership Program of the state of Maryland. This is one way that taxpayers can have a say in how to best benefit their communities. For donations of money or tangible goods, donors receive an additional tax credit worth 50% of the value of the donation. And not to worry about donating above and beyond what you currently owe in taxes. Credits in excess of your tax liability can be used any time over the next five years. The credit may be taken against corporate income tax, personal income tax, insurance premiums tax or public service company franchise tax. The same credit may not, however, be applied to more than one tax type. Sole proprietorships, corporations and pass-through entities, such as partnerships, subchapter S corporations, limited liability companies and business trusts may claim the tax credit.
