Join us for First Foragers of the Chesapeake—an immersive, family-friendly cooking class that celebrates the beauty of seasonal eating through indigenous-inspired foraging traditions. Set in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay region, this hands-on class invites participants of all ages to learn the art of sustainable foraging, connect with nature, and discover how each season brings unique gifts from the land.
Guided by our culinary storyteller, you’ll embark on a journey inspired by the tale of a young forager and her wise grandmother, learning how to gather and prepare wild ingredients like acorn flour, herbs, and berries. Together, we’ll make delicious seasonal dishes, from griddle cakes to herbal teas, as you experience the rich food traditions that have nourished communities for generations.
