Shell Shaking in Shady Side

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) operates an oyster restoration center at Parish Creek Landing where volunteers can help ready the shells before re-planting in
the bay. "Shell shaking" removes debris, allowing baby oyster larvae to successfully attach to the shells.
