About the event

🎃 Savoring Science: The Science of Squash

A Hands-On Workshop About Pumpkins, Plants & Gooey Fun!

What’s inside a pumpkin? How does it grow? Can you really make slime from squash?

In this fall-themed Savoring Science workshop, kids will roll up their sleeves and explore the anatomy and life cycle of pumpkins and other squashes. Each child will get their very own mini pumpkin to dissect, helping them uncover the science behind seeds, stems, and the squishy stuff inside. We'll bring it all to life through experiments, slime-making, seed saving, and a little artistic expression too.

🔍 Activities include:

  • Hands-on pumpkin dissection to explore skin, pulp, seeds, and more
