About the event

Join CCM for a family friendly Maryland Day Weekend exploring foodways that shaped our state. Over two days, we will engage in a number of activities that will help young people discover how the people of the Chesapeake fed their communities long before European colonists arrived in 1634, how enslaved Africans transformed limited rations into nourishment, and how these histories continue to shape what we know today as "Maryland food"!
